We always have parents asking about how to do these uncomfortable discussions with their children.
My question to all parents is ‘do you want to lie to your children’ the obvious answer to it would be ‘no’.
My second question is ‘ who do you want your child to go to if they want to know about these things of life?’ the obvious answer would be ‘me – his parents ‘
Then dear parents, we will have to tell them the truth, just the way it is. The truth, life is not Rosy, there are thorns too. Let’s tell them the truth and build a trust with them that they would come back to us to talk about the uncomfortable confronting discussions (because they should know that their parents don’t lie or hide from them)
Else when they get to know that their parents don’t discuss the true about these things they will go to others for getting their answers.
